Marcus (Beechie) passed away in the early 70's - maybe 1972, while living in Austin.  Services were held back in McKinney and he was buried, I think, somewhere in Dallas.

His death was due to an accident.  He was a great and fun-loving friend but serious about his studies.  At the time of his death he was an honor student at UT.

He's another of our classmates that died way too early, and he's been greatly missed by his family and friends all these years.

So sad that we lost Beechie at such a young age he was one of those sweet guys that everyone liked. Such a tragedy!

I once asked him why his nickname was Beechie. If I remember correctly, he said that his sister was thinking about going to Beechiebaum(?) College and he went around saying Beechibaum to her all the time.

I recall Beechie, Gary Hendrix and I did a scene from "A Mid Summer Night's Dream" in senior english.I had the part of a female and wore a dress. We rehearsed in my garage and really had fun. I was sadden to hear of his passing several years ago. A great guy full of life.
