"DANNY JOE TAYLOR Danny Joe Taylor, 18 of 1616 N. College Street, died Saturday night in a
Dallas Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Turrentine-Jackson
chapel, conducted by Rev. David Kuykendall, pastor of the Waddill Street Baptist Church. Burial
will be in Ridgeview Memorial Park. * He was born Oct. 31, 1951 in McKinney, the son of Danny
Ray and Dorothy Taylor, and was employed at Collins Radio, Dallas. He died from injuries
sustained in a traffic accident here. Surviving are the parents; sister, Donna and brother, Darryl,
all of McKinney; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs Fred Chandler and a host of other relatives."

Danny was one of my good friends, the other being Gary Hendrix. Danny was killed in an automobile accident on highway 380 (then why. 24) about 5 miles west of town. There were 3 others in the car. All died but 1. Danny's dad was a paramedic and made the call not knowing it was his son. I think of Danny often. I've heard it said that you're not really gone as long as someone remembers you. Danny is still alive in my heart.
